Transparent vision

Magic? No, Technology

Few people know it, but everyone has always admired it: for over three thousand years the art of glass is still the dream, imagination, a mystery to be passionately safeguarded. Transparent vision of life for one of the most precious elements that nature has given to our spirit of invention.
And just like life, glass is surprising, malleable, a thousand times transformable. Material that continues living.
An art with which to explore our ambitions, a prestigious quirk of design, object of desire contended by architects, designers or simple dreamers of a world built on light and its reflections. Glass – then – of every shape and thickness, cut, painted, sandblasted, laminated, coupled, bonded, married to other materials and then bent, curved, modelled to requests that are possible and even to impossible ones. Glass worked as few master craftsmen in Europe know how to do.

Total quality

It is not a job. It’s a passion.

Glass Working a pane of glass is not a job. At least, not for us.
It is the rite of precision, of beauty, of all that harmony that we put into each project commissioned. From the cut to the birth of the finished product.
For the finishes, for example, we insist upon using absolutely special machines and technologies, the best that the market currently offers, many of which are custom built on our exclusive patent.
This is dedication that ensures perfection in every detail, for each piece, on every single sheet of glass. Because once you have tasted it, the flavour of perfection cannot be substituted with anything else.

Infinite choice

Not all glass is the same

Just glass? More than glass: there are infinite applications for numerous processing variants. There are differences in shape, functionality, consistency and weight, size and hardening. Differences that have led us to develop an extreme specialisation in techniques that only a few years ago were unimaginable.
Such as special lamination: more than just a coupling of panes and plastic films, it is an exercise of the imagination to include fabrics, textiles and other fine materials in order to create original furnishing accessories.
Or how heat-applied paint is distributed with completely automated machines, designed and built to satisfy your quality needs. And to continue, the hand-finishing of objects that first had standard milling and grinding.
Every work process aims at making every single piece of glass a refined furnishing component, sign of the best made in Italy.

Beautiful and possible

Praise to the curve

Let’s dispel a myth. Glass is not born necessarily as a rigid and flat sheet. Here, and in a few other places in the world, it can become whatever you want it to: it bends to the will of its creator. The secret is as always in the fire, in the heat, but especially in the precision dosing at strategic points.
At the right temperature, in fact, glass knows how to give the emotion of a wave, when it slowly bends under its own weight or is curved directly by the operator. It takes time, patience, experience. And furnaces built specifically for accommodating the large surfaces to be coupled to the rigid and dynamic moulds that are designed from time to time, according to the complexity of the object that one seeks to create. Rare quality that belongs to our culture of true experimenters of the sector. Master craftsmen who have refined their art over time to express with pride their primacy in Europe and in the world.

LIVING INNOVATION

There is a difference between following innovation and preceding it. It is the same that lives on Vetrotec every day in its production plants with the constant updating of the production technologies. Machines and control systems that Vetrotec literally designs, creates and perfects with internal resources and processes of experimentation.
